Farida is a seasoned Information and Communication Technology Manager with over 10+ years experience as a Software Engineer, Data Engineer, Technical Product Manager and ICT Policy Advisor in the private, public and development sector.
Farida is currently working as the Lead Digital Development Consultant within the World Bank Group’s Digital Development Global Practice on the 430 million USD Nigeria Identification for Development (ID4D) project (co-funded by the World Bank and EU). In this role, she is lead- ing the development of Privacy/Security Strategy and System Architec- ture for scaling the biometric system to accurately record 200 million Nigerians, collecting data on performance, security, functionality and
overall architecture of the biometric systems for enrollment, including aspects related to people, processes as well as technology, which will inform the necessary policy and strategic reforms needed to ensure a robust and protected national identity management system.
