Eyitayo Ogunmola is an entrepreneur that is powering the technology ecosystem from the talent side of things. His company, Utiva currently helps over 5000 technology companies find the best talents to supercharge the digital economy. With learners across 19 countries, his company Utiva has helped over 40,000 people learn technology skills and also implemented projects funded by Facebook, MIT, Japanese, UK and US government among other international partners.
Eyitayo started his career as a project manager and pivoted to working in International Development in the United States and later moved back to Nigeria to join the entrepreneurship train. Eyitayo represents a unique market of people of colour and has positioned his company to help provide learning and tech job opportunities for them.
In 2021, Eyitayo was selected as an Antler Entrepreneur, and in 2020 he was announced as one of the MIT Solver Entrepreneurs with funding to scale tech learning in Africa. During the Covid lock down in 2020, Facebook selected Eyitayo as a 2020 Accelerator Leader with funding access to scale his company to 19 more countries. Eyitayo is a 2020 Halcyon Incubator Fellow, 2019 Global Good Funds Fellow (United States); 2018 Chevening Scholar (Funded by the UK Government); 2016 Atlas Corps Fellow (United States), 2019 Unleash Talent (Shenzhen, China).
Eyitayo studied Physiology in Ilorin Nigeria and bagged a masters in business strategy from Edinburgh in the UK. Eyitayo is also the lead partner at Darlytics, a data science tech platform that serves startups. His aspiration, above anything, is to reEducate the Nigerian talent market and help Africans access global opportunities; providing a platform for post-secondary school leavers to learn digital skills and helping employers hire trained talents.
